It might be time for you to check out the ‘depth of field’ and ‘fog’ settings, which would give you more of a feel of depth in your image…
very nice…damned funnel web spiders…muhahahahhaah…you also need a little shadow in there…under render>click on the shadows button…will give more of a real feel…but it is a very nice spinner…there is another good tidbit if you like arachanids…

i like the way you were able to create a tiny feel to this image… makes me feel like im a inch tall… great job
i like that light there and the overall bug-life-feel. very good one. the improvements suggested are valid, though. is the spider a single .ztl, multimarkered or separate parts rearranged in here? in case it is one object you might want to apply some perspective distortion (draw window, apply dist. when in gyro-mode)

I like that spider and overall coloring in the image as a whole. Try out the suggestions made and see what happens
