This the the Third time I made the spwan model. He is my favoirte American hero.
A very nice model so far. The attention to detail is good and the texture work very solid.
I do have a few points of criticism:
- For Spawn he’s definitely not beefy enough. Lookt at the comics: The whole anatomy should be much more over exaggerated.
Even his face looks very thin. - all the sharp edges feel very soft. The chains and the spikes - it all is very very smooth. They need to be way sharper to suit Spawn. The blades at the end of the chains … maybe also a little small?
- I don’t think I’ve ever seen his lips having so much detail. Spawn’s expression is mostly transported with the expresion of his eyes and the sourrounding muscles. He looks very calm in the picture yet the chains fly through the air.
I think in most calm shots he’s just standing with his cape blowing in the wind. - The textures so far still feel flat. everything has the same specular levels. Even the chains son’t stand out as rusty or shiny
Don’t get me wrong - the efort so far is very good. You do have a good feel for anatomy already. Yet - as they say - the devil is in the detail.
Thank you for your suggestion.I will correct it in V4.0…
Very nice job! but i have some crits. as sickness said it really lacks sharpness, its overly blurred. i wonder what did you render it in? because there is almost no reflection! also some areas need to be more defined whether by texture or sculpting rework.
keep it up
Thank you for your comment.
I agree with Sickness, the eyes are Spawns major expression. He looks like he wants to give someone a tender embrace in the current pose. It seems like you have some collapsing on the fingers from when you posed him. I like it so far, a suggestion for your next render…use more shadows, as a character he’s all about contrast and inner conflict, you can bring a lot more intensity to the shot.
