Spawn Transformed Violator

Hi every body,

I'm a brand new user of Zbrush. I've done 2 - 3 little "things" already to test but it was just freestyle tests. So I choose to sculpt the Violator. Waou, it’s was long, i go to sleep for now, perhaps i will post the level 03 tomorow :rolleyes:

Ah yes … I have a question, how can i make good shot of my model ? Because at the moment i use windows screenshot and it’s take long to paste the shot in PS, crop it, level it because the colors are false and then save it …:b4:
:b2: Zbrush can export directly a jpeg or other format of picture, doesn’t it ?

Yeah, i love the spawn universe, about your question, just go to DOCUMENT/EXPORT/.psd or .tif.

Cool! Am a big fan od Spawn and all characters! Ure gonna love zbrush.

What i do to get a a good pic of my sculpt is:

render-> best

document-> export -> (filname).psd

and

once u get further into u rsculpting ur gonna want to show the community the details on the sculpt so to get a great image is:

  1. nothing on canvas.
  2. document-> press double button, it will say it has to drop the current tool on canvas, press okay

note: if u have someting on ur canvas press ctrl + n to clear and draw again ur ztool.

  1. enter edit mode

4.on ur right hand side right next to the canvas itself are these buttons: scroll, zoom, actual, below there is a button callled “aahalf”, press it and ur ztool will get shorter, resize and render, then export as whtaver format.

I have now finished the sublevel 03. I checked the render parameters and putted (?) the anti aliasing at maximum but the silouhette edge is still aliased. It’s because i am in a low subdivision level or it existing other parameters i didn’t see ? :confused:
I’m going to test you’re second method. But for the moment, i have other cats to spank. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ha! Another question, how can i change the smooth brush intensity, i have an hardcore smoothing whenever i push slowly on my tablet. Thanks :+1:

okay, if u still see aliasing is prob cuz ur in level 3, subdivide a couple levels and it will look better, also when u render press “best”

look on the top menu for z intensity slider, with u can control the intensity and hardness, i would recommend u to play with rake and claytubes to begin scluptin some of the major detail, if u use the satndard or only gonna bubble the skin.

Sculpt is coming along pretty well so far. Think you can do the clown too ^^… Hehe… he was my favorite character, especially since he could turn into that.

Yes, of course i notice that slider, it would be the 12 Works from Hercules without it :laughing: But it doesn’t work on the smooth brush (when you press shift), whenever i put 1 in intensy this brush is still hardcore, i test with rgb intensity and it’s the same, that’s why i was asking for this brush especially :warning:
Yeah, a friend tell me to begin with the clay to make the major detail. And when you are in subdiv level 4 - 5 - 6, what kind of brush do you use ? (for the moment i take the standard brush)

Yes, this clown is awesome. He's funny and cool but in the dark side of the joke and when he metamorphe himself he become just an animal which is angry (... his design was so awful in the movie :-1:)

So let's go to sublevel 04. It's not finish but i make a pause yet (10h non stop sculpting) so i show you the progress. The legs and the arms haven't got details now, it's normal, i want to make the violator asymetrik, so i will make first the minor skin détails symetrique on a higher sublevel and after i downgrade the sublevel to add asymetrik detail. Is that a way for the common deadly people :qu:

It’s missing yet things like detail around the spike on the arm, detail around the big top head horn, things like that …

Oh :eek: Good news, i discorver the "[color=Red]transpose master", what a ****ing great tool !! So easy to pose. This is looking pretty good. I am a really big Spawn fan, I have the figure of violator, it is so detailed and creepy looking. Keep it up, I cannot wait to see what the final looks like.

Looking good! cant wait to see it finished, btw you said it is unoriginal but I don’t recall seeing a Violator model before.

My answer to your last question is:
You probably have a part masked when clicking the subdivide button…try it without having anything masked.

hey bro,nice work so far!!!

1.the folder were u pasted the zmats are in the sub folder of the the zmaterial folder…so copy the zmat tool directly in the folder along the other basic mats…

2.u either press esc button or click sum where on ur screen,that wil cancel the render.

Thanks Neozeharan. I’ve pasted the Matérials in Matcap default folder and it’s going well. The esc button fonctionate well too :D. For pushing the subdivlevel up, i had a part of the mesh masked that’s why it didn’t work. (it’s not the RAM, i have 4Go)

Ok, let’s go for the update. Still sublevel 05, this level is long to sculpt, pfiouuu. This is were i am, and this sublevel is not finished. The legs and the arms are not detailed, i will detail them on a higher level with skin détails, don’t worry :stuck_out_tongue:

This is an advancement of the sublevel 05, still not finished. (i put the sublevel at 06 just for the render)

I will not be there for two weeks, so no update untill my vacations finished :rolleyes:

Wow this coming along great! Good job! My only crit is the winkles around the wrist feel very loose and almost cloth like…But that might be what your going for… But yea Great job, looking forward to seeing this finished

Yeah, i know what you mean. In a higher resolution it will be looking like compressed skin like the feets. But in this resolution (05) i don’t have enough polys to details that :wink:
