I have been working on the Celtic Mask - I think I have it about done.
The colors seem to be working between the Celtic Mask and the matting.
The Celtic Mask

Awesome! though it looks more like Islamic tessellated tilework that Celtic to me.

and if I may be a boring old stickler - the knotwork that gets called Celtic is actually more Anglo-Saxon inspired than Celt. True Celtic art seldom has knots. Being made of geometric circular flowing lines like in this mirror. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d7/Romano-Celtic_mirror_(Desborough).jpg
magbhitu - Thanks
Boring - I don’t think so. And - Thanks for the art history information.
Love the mask!

The history of the Mask

keep going you’re onto something. i like the book theme and design blending. It’s entered into Art Deco meets China territory. maybe needs some more contrast between the mask and the background motif. i’m def not crazy about the grey gradient background… Reminds me of Myst

Wow, I know it’s an old image (post #145), but how did you get the celtic knots to follow that viking head/helmet shape?
Thank You
