Very deep, and well done. congrats man.
wow! whatta fantastic looking sculpt!
bravo, sir!
…and it makes me feel better seeing that number of polys. i always feel like i’m going overboard when i see one of my finished projects and 25-30 mil.!
Omfg … my system gehts sticky above 10millions polys and gets to halt above 15millions, whats your system-specs? :o
thanks for the feedback.
My pc is a few years old now. 12 GB ram I7 cpu and 1 GB ATI graphic card. Looking to upgrade this year.
The best way I found is to use a lot of sub tools with even topology. Keep each sub tool under 10 000 000 polygons and leave all ( or most) the sub tools at the lowest sub Div while working. You can also turn up the memory limit under mem- preferences menu.
i do alot of polygon hiding when working and rendering, too.
of course, with qremesher- alot of the unused and unseen polys can be greatly reduced, feeing resources for the highly detailed surfaces.
…at least i think so… i haven’t really done too much with it yet!
Really amazing! I love all the A-Symmetry.
Thanks for the feedback.
This is Sabretooth from Xmen. I used an existing (skinny)male base mesh and sculpted the characters details. I used topogun for retopology and finished the modeling in 3d max. Then projected the high poly details back onto the new topology and cleaned it up a bit while adding the finer details. I used zbrush UV master for the uv flattening and rearranged them in 3d max. The hair was made using Hair farm which was a lot quicker and easier than 3d max hair and fur.
that is spectacular
Impressive. Love this very much.
Rad!!!
Congratulations on an awesome model!
Thanks for the comments. Just some more Zbrush renders.
You did a very good job on this last character, great progress, congratulation.
Thanks Julien.
This is Alucard. A character from the anime Hellsing.
Great model!
Trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings.
Modeled and textured for animation. Modeled in 3d Max, Zbrush and rendered in Vray. Hair made using Hairfarm
AWsome!!! love that character!
PS Can u pls upload that matcap? or download link will be fine… thx
Im not sure what the matcaps original name is as I think I renamed it. Its called new skin in my library if that helps.
I have reworked some part of the alucard model that I was unhappy with earlier. the earlier one looked a bit too much like micheal jackson.
Like the troll. Awesome work. I feel the Van Helsing character is missing some really cool gold embroidery or stitching on his coat. Could really make the character pop.
i dislike the polypaint of the face- it makes him look like a clown. but then i see that final black and white render and I see the sculpt is really fantastic. maybe go with a lot less saturation with your color choices for the face, and or find a better material. - painting cool colors down in the cracks of the face and neck can be a technique also.
i wish i had your chops on the drapery and such - this really is a great piece you just need to tweak you skin recipe.
