Sorry--- REAL Stupid Question

I just bought a new computer, at long last, and am jumping directly from ZBrush 2 to ZBrush 4. (Couldn’t use version 3 on my old, slow computer.)

So here’s the stupid question: where are all the nifty brushes and tools that used to be in the “tool” window? The simple brush, the regular paint brush, the clone brush, the roller brush, the import mesh tool (that looked like a star), and the various things like the sphere, simple plane, and so on?

I’m sure I’m just not looking in the right place…

Thanks! Okay, here’s another stupid question-- is there an actual ZB 4 manual? All I’ve been able to find are three .pdf files, none of which is a complete manual. Video tutorials are all very well and good, but there’s no substitute for having an actual manual (.pdf or printed out) in which to look things up quickly and easily.

There is the ZBrush Wiki. Between that and the ZBrush4_whats_new.pdf in your Documentation folder, your pretty well covered. Then there is the ZBrush 4 Getting Started Guide.

Hmm… that’s what I was afraid of. An online wiki isn’t the same as having a downloadable manual that I can refer to whenever I want-- i.e., if I’m where i can’t connect to the Internet or my connection goes down, an online wiki is completely useless.

The manual that came with ZBrush 2 was great-- it was a huge two-part .pdf, and you could print out a hard copy if you wanted. I was hoping there was one like that for ZB4.

Anyway, thanks for answering my question!

blondie9999, I think the closest you are going to get to downloadable manuals right now were written for ZBrush 3 but I think a lot of the information would still be pertinent to ZBrush 4. ZBrush 3 Reference Manual and ZBrush 3 Practical Manual can be downloaded here.
