SORROW
The statue depicts a pig being hoisted off the ground by a small, struggling magpie. The statue is a play on the phrase “Pigs might fly” however, this pig’s success in becoming airborn is at the cost of the poor magpie, straining to raise its dictatorial leader into the sky.
It is a dedication to hard working people who rarely get the credit they deserve despite quietly achieving great things. Whether it be in the working environment or politically, the hardest workers often garner significantly less praise than their superiors. This statue depicts that struggle.
Eventually this model will be realised as a bronze physical statue.
