Song Hye Kyo, Korean Actress (WIP)

very nice very good work i really like it very much

absolutely top row - mods, where are you!?

So so beautiful. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

very great job:+1:

Really great job. Not a million pores or wrinkes, just pure beauty.

Every time I’ve tried Hair and Fur on a fairly high res model in Max 8 I got memory errors. The hair is great, by the way.

Hey is there any other way to do hair without Max 8?

Great work. Love the suttlety to the piece.

That looks fantastic! Great job!

There are countless ways. Some are better than others, depending on your end use. Do you want to avoid Max 8 specifically, or are all outside platforms off limits? Search any 3D forum (including this one) for “hair” and see what comes up.

One advantage of the approach he chose (hair plugin built into an animation package) is that, after hand-animating the character’s face and head movements, he can run a physics simulation to add realistic secondary motion to her hair. If you need that, it’s a weighty consideration.

In the meantime, you’re repeatedly asking in the wrong thread. An artist can’t tell you about all the choices they didn’t make. If you’re placing software constraints on yourself, you need to talk to artists who are having success working within those same constraints.

If you ask someone who’s rejected those limitations, you’re probably not going to like their answer. And if you ignore the artist to ask everyone else for easy ways to repeat his accomplishments, that just feels disrespectful to me. Perhaps I’m overly sensitive.

Either way, if you search first before asking very general questions, you’ll get answers faster and not draw anyone’s fire.

This is a very good job (modeling, lighting and shaders work) but, i’m sorry, i can’t see any wireframe coming from ZB here
Could you post one plz?
Best regards.

Wow, amazing work. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing! You’ve really created such an elegant and beautiful face with real life and expression to it. Wonderful work! :+1:

I like this one. Good job. :):+1:

i’m Korean.

it’'s perfect!!

Very neutral look to it - very nice :+1:

where can I get thaem as a startion point?

thanks,
misha

Wow this is really topnotch. Amazing.
My crit would be that when you have her smile, the corners of her mouth are not deforming quite right. The crease and bump that runs down from the corners of the mouth look a little “off”.
Also, the overall coloring of her face seems to be a little more understated than the live models you are emulating. If you look at some of the comparison shots, the live people have some more dramatic and widely varying coloration. Their cheeks are very flushed in some of those shots. Your lady’s skin is kind of an overall brown. You might want to bump it up a bit if you are going for completely photoreal.
Great job. You are a master.

this is really nice, good work. i love the subtlety, very realistic.

I don’t know if you know the model or not, but in any case I would think she would find your work to be a great complement! Please post any further work on this project or any future project! So many great artist on this forum and with this work you’ve joined their ranks!

Uowwww!! wonderful work !!
