Something goes terribly wrong when making zspheres into mesh

Hello dudes,

I got zbrush 3.1, and I’ve had alot of fun with it. However, recently I must’ve changed something, because when I convert zSpheres something just goes wrong. Please help, because this just takes the fun out of it :frowning:

Example

http://pici.se/pictures/IlYMNiOnl.jpg - After. As you can see it just looks odd. And even if I divide it several times, it still looks odd.

Thanks

I suspect, some of your control zspheres are too close to each other, such as between the head and neck and the bottom and chest. Try spreading them apart some and preview the result, or perhaps make some of the chain spheres into control zspheres (by click on them in draw mode to add resolution.

Another fix may be to toy with the “Ires” (intersection resolution) and “Mbr” (membrane curvature) sliders on the Adaptive Skin pallet (default skinning below ZB3.5, “use classic skinning” in ZB 3.5Rx). The slides will tweak the skin generator as it transitions between the control zspheres. The “mc” and “mp” buttons may also help, but I’m not sure what would happen. The sliders are not interactive (at least I don’t think they are) so you have to regenerate the skin after each tweak.
