Some question about zbrush after reinstall.

Hi everybody, i’ve reinstall zbrush 4r2 along with my OS ( slow performance issue )

before that , i remember that i use zsphere to retopology a bear with 13 millions poly and then reproject all the detail to new topology. But now i use the same method to do retopology a new model , and zbrush told me that please pick a model that have less than 15k poly. Why ? @_@

Another problem come up to me : i use to import export between 3ds max and zbrush, but now when i export my model to max, it not in the right place ( x 0 , y 0 , z 0 ). It is place more to the right. And when i move it to the right place , then export to zbrush again, it’ place wrong again ===> so i can’t sculpt symetrily if i don’t move it again. T_T

How to fix these problems ? please help me T_T

Hi! You will get that message when selecting your highres mesh directly from the ‘Topology’ menu. If you go to the “rigging menu” (the button above) and load your highres mesh there instead, then it should work. Load your mesh there and then enable ‘Edit’ in the topology menu to start drawing new polys.

To fix the axis being off, go to ‘Transform’ in ZBrush and click ‘Set pivot point’ (not at the computer now, so I’m a little unsure about the exact names). This centers your tool in ZBrush and it should now export to the same xyz in your other 3d package. Hope it helps!

Thankyou !!! You’re the real lifesaver ^^!
