Some celebrity heads with Zbrush3

Update!
I made a new lightsetup and a new pose.
Regarding the hair and the outfit, it´s the original T1 prop.
I´ve seen so many Arnis with sunglasses and leatherjackets, that i want a different look for this one. But you are right, it is all about gelhair and leatherjackets in the end :slight_smile:
I hope you like this one.

Stick with your version we really dont need more of the same type.
Everything is looking fabulous so far but in the new render the jaw seems
a little thin? Only maybe its not like i checked reference images its just
that i have a wider jawed gouvernator in my head.
Weiter so!

I agree, mainly because of the pose of his head. He likes to keep is chin up! and he likes showing off his 3/4 angles of his face. (just my observations of ARNIE!)

So yeah chin up and to the side.

For some reason he makes me think of a prefect blend between Arnold and Jacky Chan.

Please don’t take this the wrong way because the model is bang-on, but it looks like someone hurt his feelings. He looks sad…:cry:

Awesome work! But I prefer the previous render. I’d also stick with your T1 version. He just needs a few tweaks. Keep going :+1:

@ Disco Stu and Sadam Hu: You´re right the chin looks thin, i´ve changed the camera fov to 35 and that could be the cause for this. I´ll have to keep an eye on it.
@ Lawndart: Yes, i see what you mean, perhaps he is sad, because he looks like a mix of Tom Cruise and Jacky Chan and not like Arnold :slight_smile:
I´ll see what i can do to change that. It is still a normal expression and i will try to work on this, too.

another update:
i reworked the jaw and a few more things. I also put some dirt on his clothes. I hope, i managed to remove the sadness from his face. What do you think?

FANTASTIC! I would love to see it with more realistic hair but everythibg else is great. This pose and camera angle is much better than in previous update in my opinion.

Great work man, the costume is spot on and its nice to see a T1 version of Arnold :).

Couple of crits I have is that I think the area around the mouth needs a bit more volume and his neck looks a little odd.

Thats right, which would mean dirtying up and reworking the geo of the face. This rendition is to crisp to have to do all that work to it.

My two cents:

  • Have his body in the same direction his face is in and show his shoulder.
  • The ear geo looks kinda off. Although I need another view to confirm that.

I tried having a look for a youtube for you, about Arnie instructing another guy how to pose. That really got you into the mindset you need for posing this bust. When I find it I’ll post it here with the section of time that it shows this.

0_o how come I missed all the stuff in your thread?! jeez - good stuff - I love the heads at the beginging. Great job on Arnie too = the only thing I’m not keen on is the colour of the jacket ehhe. I love the face though!:+1:

Long time no post!
It took me some time to get a new, more advanced workflow.
I switched from Brazil to Mental Ray and spend most of the time on the skinshader.
I have only scratched the surface, so i think there is a lot to improve, here.
I also build a new basemodel, in fact i build a complete new Arni with new Textures and without any Hairstyle.
I tried to use the 3dsMax Hair and Fur, but nothing looks as it should. So i converted the hair to mesh and use it as a placeholder, as long
as someone tells me, how one could make a good looking Hairstyle with Hair and Fur.
The geometrie hair is also good for 3dprinting, but for a render it looks awfull, i know.
As you might see, i changed the look and style to the second part of the t1 movie.
So Arni gets sunglasses and short hair. This is still a w.i.p. so there is more to come.
I hope you like it so far.

sieht gut aus. hast mal mit Vray versucht? ich find den hautshader von mental ray immer etwas wachsig.
wollste an den haaren noch was machen?

Moin, nein Vray habe ich leider nicht!
Und die Haare, naja das habe ich glaube ich oben schon erklärt :slight_smile:
