[SOLVED]When I hide a subtool, the wrong one gets hidden. Is this a bug or ignorance?

Hi guys,

Sorry for posting again. I’m trying to solve a bigger problem by tackling smaller problems and here is one of the smaller problems I have:

I have two objects, a snow globe base and a globe. Both are subtools. When I hide the base by clicking the eye icon, it hides. However when I try and hide the ball by clicking the balls eye icon the base again hides, but the ball remains. Is this a bug or is it me not understanding how it works? I posted a screen shot in hopes someone can help me.

The selected subtool will always be visible, even if it’s visibility (eye) icon is off.
