[SOLVED] Unable to edit curve enabled strokes without adding extra geometry :(

Hi guys,

I was following along with a Digital Tutors video on using curve mode and the author takes the standard brush, enables curve mode, and then draws a stroke. He then changes the shape stroke itself, moving it around how he sees fit.

When I try that it doesn’t work. When I move the stroke extra geometry is created, ruining the stroke. I have no clue why this is happening or how to fix it.

All I want to do is be able to edit the stroke without adding extra geometry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I included a short video to show what is happening.

I’m not familiar with the video in question. Can you see any of their settings (such as if the zintensity is off)

I checked the settings, all appear to be the same :frowning:

Luckily the video was one of their free videos, he moves the curve around the 3:20 mark without adding geometry:

Have you tried with dragdot instead of freehand?

You are my hero!!!

I swear I tried all of the options but apparently I didn’t. Thank you so much! :D!!!
