[SOLVED]Does anyone have an updated ZBrush -> Modo tutorial focusing on Normal maps?

Hi guys,

I could have sworn there was a documentation page on Pixologics site that listed the normal map generation settings for different software.

I am using Modo and no matter what I try I cannot get the normal maps to generate correctly (the diffuse map works fine, normal does not so I think its due to how the normal map is generated, not its direction). Its almost as if the lighting is backwards for the most part.

Does anyone have a link to a page or video with an updated tutorial on how to export normal maps from ZBrush to Modo?

I’m not overly familiar with Modo, but if the lighting looks reversed then you could try inverting the Y value (green channel) of the normal map in photoshop or the material, or have zbrush invert it before baking (I personally find it easier to switch them around in PS rather than having to continually bake and export)

Thank you for the response. I ended up figuring it out last night, I forgot to click “tangent” before making the normal maps.
