Solid model

Hi everybody. I would like to prepare a model for printing so I want it to be solid without any internal topology trapped inside. I imported a key model into Zbrush in purpose to strengthen a handle of that key. I insterted a supports for a handle (orange polygroup). I could use a Dynamesh however it would change a model required parameters so its not an option here. Any other ideas how to make it all solid and ready for 3d print. key problem

Gizmo:Gear Icon:Remesh by Union … I use it all the time for exactly this purpose. The only topology change will be where the bodies intersect and also any interior pieces will be removed.

This solution is great however I noticed some internal artifacts in places where two bodies interacts. It can be noticed when I separate polygroup view in Zbrush as well in slicer software. ( I decidet to use dynamesh to the whole part which could be modified and than merged it with the rest. After that I used Remesh by union. Any idea how to fix this

Hard to tell but it looks to me like you’ve got coplanar faces. That’s always tough for any software to deal with. If so then try and inflate or move one of the bodies/faces a little, or even delete the face(s) before the Union. Union doesn’t require each body to be watertight.

Alternatively, this might be were Live Boolean is what you need. Separate the bodies into their own subtools, set them to Union and activate Live Boolean. You’ll see a preview of the union and you can edit one or more of the bodies in real time to remove any artifacts. You can still do all the usual hide/show parts of a body so you can see the interior of the Live Boolean to make editing easier. When happy then Subtool:Boolean:Make Boolean Mesh.

I manually cleaned everything inside and everything seems to be fine. Thank You for helping me! Its time for a test print :grinning:
