Softimage

Hello, I´m wondering which 3d software would be great to give motion to ZBrush characters. I´ve read that Softimage can work with high quantities of polygons, but it is just too expensive for me, and since I´m a student I´d like to know if the Academic Edition does have all the tools and functions that the Advanced Edition does have, and if this software is in your opinion the best solution for this task. Thank you.

For individuals xsi is best buddy.

It has some additional and easy to use rigging features , check out a xsi rigging tutorial for zbrush models done by great Lemo here in these community forums only. search for it.

Need More info of xsi I think you need to wait for Lemo then

Ok thank you, Lemo are you there?

Sure 8-). I’d go to the Softimage.com site. But wait till V6 is out at the 20th this month. XSIBase.com is a great forum as well. The student edition is only limited to non commercial and educational use but not limited in features. Check out the packages. And specially after V6 is out… XSI is the leading animation package. For how long I don;t know 8-).
