Sneak Attack

Here is my latest work! I call it “Sneak Attack!” It was all modeled and textured in Zbrush and then rendered with Vray. Final compositing was also done in Photoshop. Ton of fun and was a great learning experience. Hope you all like it!

Here are really early shots of the piece showing the process of how I put it together! Let me know if you have any questions!

This was my first pass at putting the scene together. Basic sculpting and posing of the frog and tree

Next I refined the sculpts and added details to both the frog and the moth

Next I started playing around with keyshot just to get a feel for how I wanted the materials to turn out

Next I unwrapped the entire scene using UV Master and polypainted everything. This part was a ton of fun

After that process was completed, I exported the Diffuse, Cavity, and Displacement maps out of Zbrush as well as lower poly versions of the model to use withing 3DS Max. then I started the process of creating shaders for all the assets in the scene. For the Frog, Moth, and leaves I used SSS shaders.

Within Max, I then started creating the fur and grass by using the Hair and Fur modifier as well as Vray fur. I played around with the composition until I got the shot that I ended up with.

Then it was on to final rendering and compositing!
