Snapping vertices to center line?

Hi guys,

I’m very new to Zbrush, though familiar with Max and Maya. I’ve stumbled on a problem in my first practice sculpt, it would appear that at some point I’ve un-toggled symmetry and slightly messed up the center line of vertices which now means that I can’t re-sym.

Is there any way I can go into the lower sub-divs and snap the verts manually to the centre line of the X axis? If I can do this then I should be able to re-sym without issue. I don’t want to have to take a lower sub div and re-align it in maya and then have to add all that lovely detail in the higher divs again if I can avoid it. Any ideas?

I’m taking up zbrush to expand my skills in miniatures design, I do alot of Rapid Prototyping making scale models and wargames miniatures but no sculpting until now, so Zbrush profficiency would be a huge leap forward. I’m going to try to be disciplined and do alot of anatomy studies before I get stuck into “cool stuff” but so far I’m enjoying it alot.

Cheers :).

Will.

In Zbrush, no.

In Maya, yes.

If you’re using goZ you should be able to one click to send the model to Maya. Reset your sym line, then 1 click back to Zbrush. All of your details will remain as well at higher subD levels.

Thanks I’ll give it a shot :)!
