I’m currently working on a boss mob for a game and I ran into a little issue and was hoping someone could help. (4r6)
The issue:
I built the snake below to create a IM Tri-Part curve brush. The plan was to create the snake and then edit the curve into separate sub-tools and then iterate the sub-tools across the timeline in order to create animations of the snake. Everything worked; except, I didn’t realize that the Polypaint isn’t processed when you do tri-part curves. (Unless it does and I missed an option somewhere?)
My options:

I can repaint one of the sub-tools created by the curve brush and transfer its texture to all the remaining sub-tools.

I can abandon my original plan, create one complete mesh by inserting the different parts of the snake and then animate it with layers.
While both these options are great work arounds, they are time consuming and I have many more bosses and levels to finish in a very short amount of time. Any thought on other ways I can approach the issue?
Does anybody know if there has been any discussion about a new feature to allow tri-part curve IM brushes with embedded polypaint info in a future version? I could see numerous situations in which this would be a great feature.
