Smoothing The Surface Of A Model

Hello. For anyone who is familiar with Maya or Mudbox, I was wondering how to smooth the surface of my model?
In Maya you are able to smooth the surface of your model by selecting polygons/faces on the model and then you go to ‘Mesh Display’ > ‘Soften Edge’. You can do the same thing in 3D Max using smoothing groups. I was wondering if there are any options like this in Zbrush 4R8 for smoothing parts of the mesh or for smoothing the entire mesh?
There is also an option in Mudbox that instantly changes your entire mesh from smooth surface to hard surface and back again when ever you need, to called ‘Smooth Shading’. Does Zbrush 4R8 have this option as well and if so, where can I find it? Thank you for your help.

There are various smoothing, relaxing and polishing options in the Deformation palette.

Dynamic subdivision could be useful :slight_smile:
