Smooth taper and curve on a cylindar?

Hello all,

Im modeling a spray can in zbrush and my plan is to have it small at the bottom and large on top, with a bit of arc in it. When I mask off the can, I cant get the mask feathered out enough to work properly. Is there a way to have a very smooth taper and arc on my model without redoing it?

Thanks in advance!

To feather a mask, Ctrl+Click on the masked part of the mesh.

As for how to deform it, have you tried using TransPose instead of the deformations menu? I think it will work better for your needs.

I was experimenting with that just yesterday but it was turning out to be way more of an effort than I wanted haha. Instead, I exported the model to Lightwave, since Im kinda familiar with it, used the taper tool (?) and the Bend tool on the top/bottom views. Turned out pretty much how I was thinkin.

Thanks for the suggestion, it helped out in another project.:+1:
