Smooth Brush error - Cintiq and Intuos at same time

Hi,

This morning I just found a really strange problem…

In my current setup I have a Intuos and a Cintiq at the same time (using the Cintiq pen for both). It has always worked fine but today when using the Smooth Brush on the Cintiq I’m getting “spikes” on the mesh instead of smoothing it.
I’ve reset the brushes and played with settings but nothing fixes it. Its almost like its doing the opposite of what it should do.

Then I decided to smooth the mesh but using the Intuos and it works ok! So it seems to be some setting related with the Cintiq…but it only started to happen today. Any help would be very appreciated!

Hope its clear

Anyone?

I’m getting the same problem (also some brushes only zadd or zsub). I’ve found the only way to solve it is to set the cintiq as the primary monitor then it all works fine (for me anyway).

But i really don’t want my cintiq as the primary due to fact that i’m left handed & need to have my intuos on the left hand side so i don’t have to cross my arms over to use it.

So what i’ve noticed is that zbrush starts up on the primary screen & when i drag it over to my secondary monitor (the cintiq) it creates the problems you have mentioned & the ones i did… i also tested this with my intous controlling the secondary monitor and got the same problems, so that takes away the idea of it being a cintiq issue.

Is there anyway of making zbrush start up on the secondary monitor? or could the kind people at pixologic please look into this?

Cheers

I have this issue to. Starting today. Worked fine earlier this week when ZB started up on the Cintiq. Had a bad ZB crash while saving. And after that ZB will only start up on the primary monitor and this bad error is a fact.
