Smiling Woman

A bit of facial expression practice on a closed mouth mesh.

I was going to HD it to get more detail and pose it into some sort of classical style figure but I might just use the original mesh and try other expressions–tongue sticking out etc, and see how flexible the same mesh is for it.

Looks good, emotion is one of the hardest things to pull off in art, you can definitly tell she is happy  the square head really throws me off though hehe, maybe she is happy she has a square head I guess?

Nice job  I always find mouths to be the hardest to do, especially when you get to the tongue with it sticking out and such, lots of polys!

She’s smiling because she knows she can hide her squareness with a cheap polygon hat!

I tried boosting the polygons around the mouth in the original mesh but it ended up pinching.

I think I will try a laughing face—may have to custom alter the base mesh before I try it to get all the teeth in. Not enough polygons.
