Smart Resym producing tearing on the surface

I’v tried and tried to bring my figure back into symmetry with Smart Resym. Tears and spikey disturbances are occuring in the mesh.
Any help would be appreciated,
Katherine Dewey

Hi Kathy Just wane ask you about the tearing. Please do follow me through what exactly your doing to ge this tearing.

What i usually do is mask off half the model IE the half that you want to keep. and then do a smart Resim. Also first drom to the lowest rez and then follow the same process up to the highest level… Hope that works. Otherwise ill try my best to help you out.

I am proceeding as you suggested, first at level 1, followed by level 2. There is is some improvement after level 2 Smart Resym, and a subsequent Smart Resym again at level 2 shows a further reduction in the flaws created initially. That said, they are still present. Repairable, but irritating. I wonder if it is a Windows 7 glitch.
Thanks for your help,
Katherine. . .who just wanted the eyes to match, ya know?

Could you send show me an exaple as of the results on level one and level 2 please.

Thank you very much for the help you have given and offered. I found the answer in another post–the model was too large in the Preview window. I thought I had read all references to Smart Resym problems, but discovered I had not. The problem is solved.
Again, thank you,
Katherine Dewey

Glad to have helped a fellow zbrusher any time you need help just give me a MP.good luck
