Smart ReSym problem - unsolved

Hi,
I’mhaving an odd problem with Smart ReSym -
I have a mesh which is not completely symmetrical so I decided to use Smart ReSym…
I tried doing it on every subdivision level to the highest one but I get the same problem either way. For some reason I get these distrotions:

Even tried exporting and importing the mesh as an OBJ before doing so but no luck.
Anyone knows how I can avoid this?
Thank you.

Out of curiosity, what is the scale of the model when you view it in the Tool>Preview menu?

Also, have you tried clicking Tool>Masking>Clear before you masked one side of the mesh? It’s possible that some points are mistakenly masked already.

And finally, have you ensured that you have the correct axis selected next to the Smart ReSym function?

When I look in the preview menu all I see is a single square polygon… it’s filling that preview window completely, I only figured out it’s a single square polygon when I zoomed out.
I made the object out of polyspheres and trying to resym after I did adaptive skin and loaded the newly made mesh.

Yes, I tried clicking clear, also tried loading a fresh object.

Yes, I’m trying to resym the correct axis… in fact, I tried them all one time tim make sure…

Thank you.

Your probem is coming from the scale of the model. It’s too big for ZBrush to work with it correctly. Use Tool>Deformation>Unify to reduce the model to a size that fits perfectly within the Preview window. You should find that the other features start working much better.

try a regular Symmetry operation first, and then a SmartResym… and try it a couple times… it’s worked for me in the past.

I did it, it did scale down the mesh but in the preview window I still see a square polygon and the Smart ReSym still gives me that problem :frowning:

Tried it, ReSym by itself does nothing, if I click ReSym and then Smart ReSym I get even worse results than before

Thanks for trying to help.
