Jantim…u working for that material nobel award or what…
You take the cup!
I do know, that you cant do real SSS in Zbrush…but knowing how to work-around is the reason, why we`re paid for our job

Thomas
Jantim does it again…(!)
The material is called Meat_Glass? Sweet…
Yep ,Meats…i kept my promise : "i would name a material after u, and u would send me your latest Gnomon-Dvd " …i’m very interested in your last one…i think you explain how to make materials in ZBrush…

for emulate the Cavity effect when this last was not in the prog
Thanks so much, all stuff included in this post is really useful.
Thanks, thanks, thanks¡¡¡
I gave it a shot.
This was two renders out of zbrush put together in photoshop. I used the meat glass material for one render to get my reflections and a skin shader to get for the second render. Dropped them in ps using a lighten blend mode and added a diffuse glow effect to the final image.
Reminds me to those textures :

It is the red material that Jantim posted, and I yoinked a few parameters. I can’t recall what right now, and I’m at work so I can’t check.
Does pixologic publish the format of their .mtl files? it would be nice to be able to translate them into text files so you could compare what’s different.
Sorry, just had to do it. Reminded me of Meatwad from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Kyphur, my boy Steve beat you to it but still funny :D:
Make him dance!
Can you explain this layer baking to a complete newbie? I’m trying to get this working with no results!
1.Set Mrgb to 99 or less Check.
2.Create object and bump up refraction to 100 Check.
Now what?
bump!!haha
Hey all,
I just returned to this thread several years later to find a specific image I saw when I first read the thread… It was an edited image of one of the first renders that showed a girl trapped in the tentacles. One of the posts on the second page references it (mentions the girl). The image, however, is no longer there. Does anyone know what happened to it?
