Slice Curve grouping Problem

I’m using Slice Curves on a Dynamesh to seperate it in peices. As soon as I remesh there is a bunch of artifacts along the sliced areas. Sometimes some stray vertices or a rough edge. The real problem is when I move the sliced peice, it’s still attached to the others. I’m following the tutorials but it does not detach. Any ideas?
