Hi any ideas whats going wrong for me here…
Im trying to create two or more sub tools from one tool using the slice curve, as demonstrated in the video tutorial online in zbrush classroom.
my results are a jagged mess… heres a flow pic so you can see how Im doing it… can anyone tell me whats going wrong?
they broke it in r6 
You can do a tool.split.polygroups
Then dynamesh each piece or use cap holes.
Stupid work around, but I hope this helps.

I’m using P2 also and having real issues with this exact problem. The Trim Curve brushes are also driving me nuts. So badly need this to work this very moment!
alright, if you turn blur to 0 and turn off project, it stops doing that. But leave Groups ***8203;on.
sigh…duh.
