Slice brushes creating very wierd Polygroups

I have no idea what’s happening with my Slice Brushes. I haven’t used them until now and am learning them with the Zclassroom videos. There have been no changes made to any of the settings for the Slice brushes, but these are the results I’m getting:

Pic 1.) A curve slice creates two polygroups offset from the line drawn by a distance equal to the Brush size. My curve was drawn straight through the red polygroup.
Pic 2.) The circle and square slices create polygroups that… well, you can see. It’s like there’s a bordering effect on the slices and I can’t figure out why.
This happens on all meshes. Any other method of selection works fine. Is this an error or just some setting I can’t find?

ZBrush 4R6 - Win 7 64 bit

–EDIT–
Just to be clear, this is not the Dynamesh polygroup bug in 4R6. Yes, that is a Dynamesh in the pictures, but it has not been updated after the slice and this happens ON ALL MESHES.

Okay, you all can stop reading this and thinking “what an idiot”.
Somehow I set the BRadius option (Ctrl-Shift-Space) when using the Slice brushes. I wasn’t aware of that feature.
