Skin Texture now with added leather

Hi there,

I have noticed that skin comes up a lot. I was enjoying a buckwheat and maple pancake with lots of cream and maple syrup this morning and after flipping it over I though by golly that looks like skin. Sooo… I make another one slapped it on the scanner took it into photoshop. Et voila. I have no idea at all whether this is in any way useful as a texture but here ya go anyway. If anyone is interested I’ve got an 800kb jpeg I could post.

That’s a great texture.

So you are eating breakfast and thinking 3D.

Yeah, you are addicted.

Great scan. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the texture – we can right click save pic as bitmap and stash it away for use-- no more porcelain people for me

I see I am not the only one thinking of new skin textures for models…lol. pancakes? And I was only thinking of my leather jacket as a source for skin imprints.

Great idea ! inspiration comes from the most unusual places.

hey thanks ill try that.
hey are you the same person who took a slice of “ham” and put it on your scannar for skin texture?
just asking because we got some in here cooking food on there scannar
anyone care for a ham and Scan chesse Sandwich ?

Thanks for the texture ;)… So how was breakfast, and who ate the glowing pancake? LOL

Hey Thelonius that is an excellent texture-I’ve been fiddling around with it -works
great- for more than skin depending on the material and how you modify the properties.Thanks.

Thanks for the great texture!
I’ve experimented a little and it works very well. Here is a quick example:

The texture was used for the flying dude, the ball, and the BG.

Thanks for the feedback, Talos, after reading your post I tried combining a scan of my jacket with the texture. I didn’t spend too much time but it has potential

T-

Cool stuff! Just goes to show that art can be found in the darnedest places.

I’ll have to make use of both of these textures in the future. It’s a really clever idea. Thank you!
