I remember when google bought them not too long ago. Too bad there’s no .obj export. I wonder if there’s a google earth->obj converter though.
If I remember correctly, there is a OpenGL interceptor which captures all the models in a frame in .obj format. It works with Google Earth.

With the free version of “Sketchup google” you can save (and load) in the Sketchup format, it’s not so bad ! :rolleyes:
Closed system but you can make some crazzy things with it! (see follow : all is “pure Sketchup” (even classic cars! )

Besides Sketchup and Teddy isn’t there some other program that is supposed to allow you to make 3D by basically drawing?

Sketchup is a fantastic easy to use program. I use it on my project for making a computer tower case.
