i liked that. where did you render your head? zb ou another app?
very very good!
regards

Rendered in Zbrush, I used CBskin as a base matcap.

I just wanted to say you’ve done a great job on the painting of the skin, hyperpigmentation on darker skin characters can be tricky to pull off. You’ve done an absolutely wonderful job on it.

My only critiques would be concerning the ear. The front of the earlobe seems like it should transition into the jaw/face area a bit more smoothly.

The antihelix seems to be off as well and I can’t put my finger on what it is. (I suck at ears by the way) I have the feeling if you fixed the front of the lobe that part of the ear will look like it fits a bit better.

Either way great work!

that is kick ass. you have to inlighten us on how you pulled off that hair.

Very Good。。。:+1:

That hair is awesome. Good sculpt. Is this the guy from 3d.sk you used for the texture?

Flack: Thanks, Zrush is great @ rendering out “SSS” and soft shadows.
Now that you mention the ear it’s really does stick out at me, thats why these forums rock.

mphilip: ahh the hair, I had initially done it in Zbrush and got a decent enough feel but it was very clumpy and not enough strands stuck out, so I opted for the maya paintfx approach, then refined in Zbrush. If I where to do it again I would use a combination of both techniques.

Gaboon: Correct, I wanted to do a photoreal face and what better resource than 3dsk?

Here’s a grey grab.

Cool idea, and great pose. I feel like her left knee and foot, the one that is in the air, should be rotated couterclockwise a little so they’re not pointing sideways. I’m not used to seeing limbs in extremes like that, so I could be wrong.
