Sketchbook of Sebastian Wunnicke

Hi everyone…

I´m new to this community and want to introduce me first. My name is Sebastian Wunnicke, and I´m an Illustrator from Germany. I worked as a 3D Artist at a small game studio on adventures. I´m new to Zbrush, at my work I only did low poly box modelling

(houses, props, items, etc.) My goal is to become a good chracter artist and to sculpt a lot of creepy things in zbrush

After a few test models I can show you my first "real" zbrsh models. I sculpted the characters of " The wind in the willows" of Kenneth Grahame, rendered them in zbrush and did the texture work in Photoshop. Hope you like them and see you soon with more models ... Always read this book as a child
Great start. The textured ones look great.
Sculpting wise you can still improve a lot seems like
you step up in subd levels to fast. Try low density and
clay tubes with low intensity to lay down the general flow.

Have to agree with Disco Stu, but it’s a great start… nicely done!

Nice, I should like to see a scene with it!
I realy hope to see more like this on the forum.
Your goal will come, cheers :+1:

I recognized those characters just by the thumbnail picture
One of my favourite books.
Personaly I like more the kind of first render, they look like little sculptures.

thank you for your kind replies… At the moment I´m working at another character and I´m trying to get familar with the clay tubes, to avoid the bloppy surfaces. My problem, especially at the badger was, that I felt to much in love with all the folds and exaggerated it.

Bas Mazur: I will create a liitle scene scene soon, perhaps with a handpainted background image.

Some new stuff… a blue whale and a great white shark. I´m very interessted in animals and especially every kind of underwater living and it had a lot of fun sculpting these two guys. Hope you like them.

Wow, love these last ones!

I started a new character today, and will post my progress from now on.
It´s an orc, like every one does. I´m working at my fantasy style portfolio at the moment and thought it is good idea to make one to. Here it is…

I discovered the clay brush and really had fun with it

Real nice to see that scetch behind it, nice colors! Keep updating :+1:

another update on my orc. Comment would be nice, I want to polish him for a presentation next week.

I finished the orc. I´m not sure if I like him, imo he looks a bit like 90´s 3D art… No comments, perhaps because everyone hates him
