Sketchbook - Gashu

Hi Zbrush Central!

It’s been a good few years since I last logged into here. I figured I’d give this account some use again. This thread will be my area for posting my 3D work and hopefully getting some crits! Currently, I am working on a game res version of a character from an anime called Hunter x Hunter, here is the Zbrush sculpt:

These are my last few models:

I’ll keep this updated as I make more models!

excellent design on Who!

Thank you very much. I love your sculpts too, very classical

Something else I have been working on, Daxter! WIP in Zbrush for now. He will eventually go into Unreal where I will have a go at using Neofur, should be good fun. The leather and metal parts will be done in Substance Painter so I’ve left these blank, but Zbrush was much nicer for getting that soft gradient look to Daxter’s body than I can achieve with Substance.

Update on Daxter! A render of his low res mesh in Marmoset, complete with some terrible Photoshop smudge tool job for the fur, but he still has no teeth! Just working on them in Zbrush now before I can get the model rigged properly for some truly genuine crazy Daxter expressions, and into Unreal for some realtime Neofur goodness

Don’t know Digimon series, but i like your work! Cool style and pose

Thankyou very much for the lovely comment

I have another sculpt from this weekend, this time based on a concept from Loish, named ‘Lumen’. I felt like there was a distinct lack of female characters in my gallery, so now that is fixed… I also sort of wanted an excuse to go glow-crazy.

An excuse to go glow-crazy you say?!!
Glow with style say I:+1:

Both this post and the last have a really sweet design approach to the hair.

Thankyou very much!

Here’s one I did this weekend, Rick fanart from Rick and Morty, based on Peter Capaldi (one guess to figure out my favourite actor!). I think he would work out really well as Rick in a live action version of Rick and Morty! Thanks to Frank Tzeng for his great alphas and tutorials.

A character from a comic named Descending Outlands. It was a fun design, I enjoyed doing my own version of him.

The world doesn’t have enough models of cute bats. So here is my contribution! A sculpt based on a sketch I did one lunch

Hey ZBC!

I’ve just started working on a Jak model to go with my Daxter model I did last year. Here are some WIP Zbrush shots. I aim to pose Jak and Daxter together at the end. C+C welcome!
