Wow agreed on the excellent textures. Just curious, did you paint the texture’s usong PS or in ZB? Thanks.
Awesome and fun character
!
Your composite piece is amazing but there’s just something I love more about the “clay” render and the colored texture render. The background being lighter makes better contrast that has the character popping out more. Amazing work man, thanks for sharing this!
Excellent work. I do not think holds more detail …
This is a great piece!! How long did it take to do all the basemeshes?
I love the robotic glove style, very unique and new…or at least I havent seen it before.

Great character Andrei! Awesome job on the modeling and texturing.
You should definitely try to pose it.
So awesome. I wish you posed him somehow.
That is an awesome character… one of the more unique ones I’ve seen lately… love the hand… your textures are amazing! Love 'em!
Hey guys! Thank you all for the replies!
Here is a construction sheet with wires of the initial base and the final model:

The modelling process took about 3 weeks by modeling the base mesh, Zbrushing, and then the retopology for the clothing parts. The hard edge parts were model in the first stage and in max so I didn’t had to do any retopology for those.
About posing, yeah it would’ve been nice to have it posed, but I don’t have to much time to spend on rigging and skinning and also i wasn’t to careful with the topology in some parts so it would take me a wile to skin it properly.
So maybe for the next character :D.
Cheers!

nice
this is awesome and belongs top row ??? base mesh ZB?
five thumbs and star from me !
Thank you all for your support !
I 've tried a slightly different pose let me know what you think:
Cheers!
Nice work! It’s a great design, well modeled and good texturing work. I know it’s really minor but it sticks out to me because of the contrast, the scratches on the boots are symmetrical. I’d imagine the likelihood of both boots getting the exact same scratches are very slim.
wow, other than what tobbeo mentioned, it’s great texturing work.
Nice, Congrats on toprow!!!
Congratulations on Top Row andrei.szasz!
Well deserved!
Agree with everyone else, great texturing!
Like both poses, but prefer the first view with the dramatic upward gaze.
Your stuff is great, congratz!
I love everything about this dude, but the one thing that stands out to me, that is his most important feature, is the fact that he is wearing a bow-tie. Hehe.Very smart. A regular tie would be very dangerous for a welder.
I want to explain,I think about the hand paint/photo texture question response that happened earlier in this thread. Even when some hand paints a texture in Zbrush most likely they use stencil alphas and repeating texture elements that were inertially derived from photographs. Every great artist through history has used direct reference if not working directly from photographs and/or posed models. Pore detail brushes were created from photographs of human skin, grunge brush from photographs of worn metal. Hand painted doesnt mean the artist created every texture from scratch as if they put acrylic paint to a canvas, nor should it, this is an extremely time consuming passion and the only way to get something done in a timely manners is to use the tool we have at our disposal in the most efficient way possible. Thats my 2 cents, amazing piece, we should really create a partnership with a rigging/animation forum to get these incredible models brought to life.
