Here is my second zbrush attempt, the first one got corrupted and I wanted to start something else. It was all done in zbrush. Had a much different concept in my head for the face, but couldn’t figure out how to do what I wanted so this is how it ended up lol. Its still a wip. Not sure how much more im gonna work on it or if im just gonna move to something else. C&C welcome.

Well didn’t get any response on my first post of him, decided to work on trying to detail him cause I need the practice. Would appreciate comments, any comments haha. Be as critical as you want, cause it helps me figure out what to fix etc. The lower jaw looks off to me, other than working on that not sure what im gonna do next.

Ooh, creepy model! Welcome to the Zbrush community; there are a lot of beginners around here (including me) and also a lot of experienced artists.
I like the model so far, can you make a bigger render with a more perspective view, say… front-side? I would try to color him just to learn the proces.
Have fun exploring!

Here is my latest one. Still need to work on detailing the back of him. Then im gonna work on trying to texture him, which im guessing is going to be a rough process for me =P. If anyone has any suggestions itd be appreciated.

Good first model. If you would like to get more defined details, try using some alphas, also using masks is quite good for creating definition. Keep experimenting, there are some excellent tuts on modeling, texturing etc on this forum, keep them coming

Go further and put him in a scene.

Sometimes commenting on models is hard unless you see it textured and in context. You need this to bring it to life

He’s looking groovy so far.

Hey all, took a while for me to update it cause I’ve been sick. I haven’t done a lot with it, but tried defining some areas better, and using some alphas. It sits right under 1mil polys, dont think my computer ram will handle much more =P.

kaori: I looked at some of your models, and I really like them. Your old man char, looks amazing. I had no idea what you meant by using alphas, and masking to help definition. I browsed the forums some, watched a video, and got a better idea =P. Thanks for that advice.

boozy floozie: I checked out your scenes boozy and your comment made perfect sense =P. All your works have amazing character and are setup as full scenes. Going to work on doing the textures for him next I think.

I put on a skinish material just to show off his alphas and what not a little better. Am gonna try to texture next I think, prolly be a while till I post a update cause itll be a slow process lol. Every time I look at it now, ignoring the fact I haven’t redefined the side and back as much as I need to, I keep wanting to add something off his shoulders. I went through the thought processes of adding a large snake wrapped around him, a spirit that goes from the right bottom, behind his back, then up over his left shoulder. I am very much on the ropes with the situation though. The character isn’t really suited for a lead skeleton type considering its kneeling and has two fist weapons for hands. I feel like if I am going to do a scene for them, it would be something along the lines of two of these on the sides of a throne, with a more higher end skele guy sitting in it. Question for anyone if their still reading at this point. What would be the best way to add a spirit, or snake to a guy like this thats already built? Throw it in maya, make the mesh there, with this guy. Put it back in zbrush, and then divide the added part? Well off to more work, Thanks.

haha, “Puh, 's but a fleshwound!”.

Very nice, he has a sort of street-gang look about him. Maybe a cool arm-tattoo? :+1:
