Size of map while polypainting

Hello,

I have a bit of a problem, and I can’t find solution anywhere on the web.

While poly painting, default size of the map is 1024x1024, and this is not enough, and it leaves texture pixelated. Ofcourse, I can convert that map to higher value, but it still stays pixelated, since it was 1024x1024 while i painted it.

Also, while I paint, if i zoom closer to the model, it is visible that i don’t have enough resolution.

Are alphas problem, or is there other way around this?

Assuming that you’re using 3.12 or higher, you set the desired texture size for each individual SubTool in the Tool>UV Map menu. There are even handy preset buttons to make this a snap.
