Me workflow is very simple. I modelling the controllmesh in wings3D (like the wire image), then export to obj, and to go on Zbrush for some extra details. The latest image rendering in maya, because i don’t use multiple object controll in Zbrush…

Why do you use maya to creat model ?
Is the wings 3D easier to use or control the distribution of polygon than maya?
Say the truth, I have some problem about creating a low-polygon model.
Do you know which software have a good solution for low-polygon model?

I think the Wings3D the best choice for poligonal modelling (low, and high) Wery simple and clean user interface, powerful UV mapping tools and etc…

just one thing: the hands seems to be a little too big… but it just could be because of the perspective… in all your posted pics one hand is always nearer to the viewer than the body…
