simplify mesh?

Hey,

I have a problem:
I’ve created a figure from a zshpere sketch and I started with the unified skin at a very low poly division (about 12,000) so that can pose the figure at a lower resolustion later on. I started sculpting and bumping It up to roughly 300,000 polys. I save it to end the day, the next day I come back to find that my tool’s lowest subdivision is 300,000 and not 12,000 WHAT???

So here are two questions

  1. Why has it done this? was it to do with the fact that I saved it at that resolution?

  2. Is there any way to restore the previous subdivision levels so that the the tool can be in a posable state?

Thanks

Most zbrushers save their models at a lower subdivison after bumping them up. It sounds like you saved your model at the highest subdivison you had. If you didn’t delete the lower subdivisions simply load your model, lower the subdivisions and save. If you did delete the lower levels try hitting the reconstruct subdivide button under the geometry tab.

Thanks alot, thats pretty neat. problem solved
