Simple Z brush OBJ question.. pls help

Hi people…

just a quick question…

i took a model from max to Z brush by exporting it and importing it as an obj…

did some minor editting to remove some symetry and make some corrections

want to export it back to max as an OBJ… now i know how to do this but when i export it as an OBJ and import it in max it looks too smoothed and looses some detail.

I know there is a button in Z brush you can hit to stop this from happening, but i have no idea what it is, can anyone help

Check to see what subdivision level you are exporting from.

Often when I export a .OBJ it takes several seconds, and then I realize I have
left it on a SubDivision level higher than 1. When I import it into Max, it has
a much higher polycount than what I wanted and I know what my mistake was.

by the way it is zbrush 3.1 and max 2009

i dont think the smoothing has to do with any editing because when i import in as an OBJ and export the same model with out any editting it loses deatoil when i open it up in max…

i know there is a button… so if anyone can remeber which setting i need to change pls let men know

thanks but definatly not the poly count…

like i said i can export it in to ZBrush and export it out back to max un editted and it comes up a tiny but smother… and loses quality

i think you need to hit the “cage” button in the geometry palette

thanks a milli
