simple question. 3.5

hey guys. im new in zbrush and i need to know if i really need to make the retopo.
now im getting better with the zsphere2 but im not sculpting yet.So make the retopo is really necessary?
i waste my time a lot on this in zbrush 3.1 getting ridiculous results . so to fix it i make some base meshes and i´m import that to sculpt in zbrush:cry: . but i really like that new zsphere2.

retopo is never needed. It’s more of a personal want or having to use it for some other purpose. If you’re base mesh is made to fit what the final sculpt will be there isn’t a reason to retopo. If you’re working with meshes for games or animation a retopo is almost always needed though. So it really depends on your final output.

thanks a lot. im new here and im getting a hard time.but i will try understand more how the retopo works cuz when i decide make the retopo on that for some reason that gave me a better first step when i start with the sculpt process.thnks
