Cool love all of the veins in the arms, and the smile is awesome.
Hey, AWESOME work man. Iām really impressed.
I have a question. My biggest problems are always the pores on the face. Since you do it really good I ask you. How do you do these things? Do you have a special brush? You do a bumpmap apart in photoshop and than import it into your 3D app?
Iād really like to knowā¦
thanks
so by āgayā you mean awesome and intelligent, Iām assuming.
turkey.
Hey Big guns this is one awesome anatomy work i have ever seen. And I just did some fun part with him so have funz man.āLijiankangā man I respect you and ur words but what i have done to this guy it disproves you.
Hi all! Thankās everybody!
lijiankang: If you have nothing intelligent to say, say nothing thx.
superbmind: HAHA nice lol. Reminds me kind of a Oussama lol.
jinx3dn : I have some alpha for doing skin pores bumps but you can do it with photoshop to.
I didnāt have time to work on my shawn these days, I have an other character to complete and Iām doing a making of my arnold schwarzenegger work but I tweak the shadow problem I had on the teeths and I played around with the sss scale value of the gums and the teeths.
So I post it here. Hope you like it! I will fix the texture soon, once I rework on this project.

Nice. Can you photoshop some flanel onto him. Thereās nothing more manly that flanel and beards.
Again, nice work Big Guns. I especially like your Arnold thread. I cant believe how much time and effort you put into that model. Its definately a great thread if youāre looking to pick up a few things on anatomy too.
This is so awesome. But all this talk about anatomyā¦I just had to say, I love the eyes and teeth!
Hi all! Thankās for the comments
Here is an update on the legs, really not finished, but most of the volumes are done, and itās the longer and harder part to do, so the rest will be fast.
The foot are not done for the moment, will be on the next update probably tomorrow.
So now, iām in sudi 6 and I can go to 7, so when I finished the volumes and all the details I get in 6, I will go to 7 to add fine and final details, such as veins, nodules, fibers, etc. That will make it more organic, I did some detail on the assā¦
So here it is. :
And with the body, it give this for now, but the legs are really not finished.
And some test of z-brush shaders, wich one do you prefer?
next post probably tomorrow .

sorry, I delete the double postā¦
What can I say⦠awesome!
!
Wow! Bigguns, Youāve done a fantastic job on this. All this talk about the flow of deltoid fibres?.. looking at your ref pics I think you nailed it. An amazing sculpt. One thing I would like to know is, did you first model in a T pose, or did you just sculpt first in this tricep pose? Also, using a mouse to sculpt this is awesome, you donāt need a wacom.
Etcher : Thank you!
DigitalDreamer: Thankās! It talk about a bodybuilder, not only about shoulder fibres :).
I sculpt it in the triceps pose, it was for a still, I did it in the front view first, base on my main ref, once I get it right in front view, I move on the side and back view to adjust all, it was a test to best fit the image because I had only one pic of that kind of pose, I cannot found the same pose on the net with a different angle of him, so the rest was interpolation, only the hand was skinned and put in the right pose(itās the hand of my arnold).
Thanks Big Guns. Looking forward to your updates.
Here is an update of the legs, the final version I finished today. I will maybe play with the strengh of the layers of the veins, to get the final outpu in the renderer look the same(because with sss, it alter some details, so better to make it stronger to be ok at render time). So I add the veins, fibres, nodules and rework a little the volumes of certains muscles.
here it is :

and here:

I hope you like it! I will do a turnable soon, I donāt know how to do it, but gonna check on z-centralā¦

Legsāre lookinā great! So looking forward to the turntable! !
absolutly amazing wokr! also love the shader you are using (the wet gray one) is it one of Zbrush default?
Great progress on this guy. Terrific muscularity. Are you a bodybuilder yourself as your name and subject matter suggests, Big guns?
Hi thankās all!
abe_Tamazir : Yes itās a default material , itās metal 01. Itās great to see any imperfection too.
Derek Frenzo: IāM training , but Iām not near from that lol. Training for beeing healthier, so not looking huge like that. I did like doing this kind of thing, like muscular monster or bodybuilder since Iām young( I was not doing bodybuilder at that age but super hero and muscular monsters), probable cause of all the great comics at the tv of the 80 , almost every hero was muscular, form thundercats to GI joe, to hulk to He-Man, etc, I was also looking the WWF and the warrior was one of my fav.
So I was drawing my super hero, monster and robot when I was a kid, doing BD, etcs. So now itās time to doing it in 3d. Itās also a VERY good exercice for understanding the anatomy and itās great to practice the volumes, the volumes are most important then details, at least for me .
Next thing I will do, probably a girl, it make a long time I didānt do one⦠in fact, I did only one lol.
Wow, I have been blown away by both your Shawn Ray and Arnold Schwarzenegger threads! The level of realism you have been able to achieve with both the modelling and the texturing is simply staggering. I hope youāre still going to post the making of the Arnold model, as I would love to learn a bit more about your technique. I also canāt wait to see you do with a female sculpture. I donāt suppose itāll be a female bodybuilder will it, or are you sick of sculpting muscles by now?
sipowicz1993: hi thankās !
I will post the making of of my arnold , heās done, but for now I canāt post it.
For modeling muscles, no, Iām not tired of that since I like doing this, but my female character will not be a bodybuilder one, maybe a little fat one, or a nice girl.
Iām uploding it to the turntable gallery, so maybe tomorrow you will be able to check it there.
