sorry, I delete the double post…
What can I say… awesome!
!
Wow! Bigguns, You’ve done a fantastic job on this. All this talk about the flow of deltoid fibres?.. looking at your ref pics I think you nailed it. An amazing sculpt. One thing I would like to know is, did you first model in a T pose, or did you just sculpt first in this tricep pose? Also, using a mouse to sculpt this is awesome, you don’t need a wacom.
Etcher : Thank you!
DigitalDreamer: Thank’s! It talk about a bodybuilder, not only about shoulder fibres :).
I sculpt it in the triceps pose, it was for a still, I did it in the front view first, base on my main ref, once I get it right in front view, I move on the side and back view to adjust all, it was a test to best fit the image because I had only one pic of that kind of pose, I cannot found the same pose on the net with a different angle of him, so the rest was interpolation, only the hand was skinned and put in the right pose(it’s the hand of my arnold).
Thanks Big Guns. Looking forward to your updates.
Here is an update of the legs, the final version I finished today. I will maybe play with the strengh of the layers of the veins, to get the final outpu in the renderer look the same(because with sss, it alter some details, so better to make it stronger to be ok at render time). So I add the veins, fibres, nodules and rework a little the volumes of certains muscles.
here it is :

I hope you like it! I will do a turnable soon, I don’t know how to do it, but gonna check on z-central…

Legs’re lookin’ great! So looking forward to the turntable! !
absolutly amazing wokr! also love the shader you are using (the wet gray one) is it one of Zbrush default?
Great progress on this guy. Terrific muscularity. Are you a bodybuilder yourself as your name and subject matter suggests, Big guns?
Hi thank’s all!
abe_Tamazir : Yes it’s a default material , it’s metal 01. It’s great to see any imperfection too.
Derek Frenzo: I’M training , but I’m not near from that lol. Training for beeing healthier, so not looking huge like that. I did like doing this kind of thing, like muscular monster or bodybuilder since I’m young( I was not doing bodybuilder at that age but super hero and muscular monsters), probable cause of all the great comics at the tv of the 80 , almost every hero was muscular, form thundercats to GI joe, to hulk to He-Man, etc, I was also looking the WWF and the warrior was one of my fav.
So I was drawing my super hero, monster and robot when I was a kid, doing BD, etcs. So now it’s time to doing it in 3d. It’s also a VERY good exercice for understanding the anatomy and it’s great to practice the volumes, the volumes are most important then details, at least for me .
Next thing I will do, probably a girl, it make a long time I did’nt do one… in fact, I did only one lol.
Wow, I have been blown away by both your Shawn Ray and Arnold Schwarzenegger threads! The level of realism you have been able to achieve with both the modelling and the texturing is simply staggering. I hope you’re still going to post the making of the Arnold model, as I would love to learn a bit more about your technique. I also can’t wait to see you do with a female sculpture. I don’t suppose it’ll be a female bodybuilder will it, or are you sick of sculpting muscles by now?
sipowicz1993: hi thank’s !
I will post the making of of my arnold , he’s done, but for now I can’t post it.
For modeling muscles, no, I’m not tired of that since I like doing this, but my female character will not be a bodybuilder one, maybe a little fat one, or a nice girl.
I’m uploding it to the turntable gallery, so maybe tomorrow you will be able to check it there.
Have you will share these ztl file?
hi!
Just to put the final version of the modeling that is done for mounths now, just didn’t post it before here on z-brush.

I will do the textures one day and doing some renders with my Depardieu skin shader.

Really nice work Big Guns!
I like the fact that the skin and muscle parts are fully fleshed out with all angles considered <img src=“http://www.zbrushcentral.com/upload/atn.gif”>
That guy is ripped! Good work, man. Looks great.
I know I’ve probably said this before but, This is Awesome!
Hey Bigguns,
Its been a while since I have been on the forum, but I just wanted to say the sculpt looks great - and especially the shoulders!
Hey Bigguns
Shawn Ray and Your Arny are fantastic. I was wondering if you could possibly post some large pictures of your poly layout for these guys with the different angles like the last ones you posted for Shawn Ray. I am struggling to find good poly layout reference that I can try and understand flow from and you seem to have a really good grasp of it all. Thank you in advance for any help.
Awesome work Bigguns loved since the start would love to know your workflow and also I am a student and was wondering if I can use the turntable of your model as a reference and create a model just for studying purposes…
