Shadowbox questions

Two questions re: Shadowbox

  1. Is there any way, other than by trimming or size deformation, to control the thickness of the object created by the masks? Can you use a slider to set how thick it will be when initially generated?

  2. Also, is there a way a way to make the top and/or bottom surfaces flat rather than the soft pillow roundness? Trying to flatten these with the flatten deformer is messy. I’d really like to find a way to have them flat right from the get go.

  1. Simply draw a mask of the thickness you want on either the side or the bottom of ShadowBox.
  2. You can control this to some extent by adjusting the Tool>SubTool>Polish slider. To get the mesh to update Ctrl+click in ShadowBox.

Remember that ShadowBox is intended as a quick way to sketch out an idea for refining later, not for creating meshes that are perfect topology.

Thanks!
