Hello everybody I was wondering if you could help me with a question. How do I go about exporting my shadowbox planes into photoshop for “masking my designs off” then reimport them back into Zbrush for use with Shadowbox?
I think there’s a template in the Lightbox Texture folder. But if you can’t find it:
- Draw out a mesh and go into shadow box.
-Clear the shadow box of its current mask.
-Go to the masking subpallet in the tools palette. Press: create alpha. A flattened uv image of the alpha appears in the alpha container on the left of your workspace. Export that as a PSD file to use as your template.
One additional tip: If you know the approximate dimensions of of your object you can mask out a shape of similar size. Then when you make your alpha there will be guide lines created on all 3 planes that may be useful for matching up your design on the various planes.
Thanks for the tips I will definitely try this one.
