shadow on floor

Hi please could you help, you gave me excellent advice for a few issues i had and they really helped me out. I am struggling to get shadows underneath my models on the floor I am doing a series of insects and really want this shadow to appear everything i have tried following books and other info does not seem to work, please help thanks again. Glen.

either make a floor plane, or turn on the floor grid (shift+P…i think). Make sure you’re doing a BPR.

Thanks for this. i have the floor plane on, I have made the floor grid bigger so the model stands nicely on this. Will the shadow only render after a BPR render can you see this shadow why you work. Is there a control for this shadow as there are 2 shadow palettes with controls, do i have to have special settings for this to work in these palettes, once again thanks for you help on this.

The BPR render of the floor shadow will only appear when you do a BPR.

To have a floor shadow that’s visible all the time, you’ll need to append a plane to the model as a SubTool and position it where the floor is. You can of course also hide the floor SubTool at any time.

Thankyou
