Shadow Box geometry for game art?

I’m just getting started with the shadow box- it’s pretty intuitive and I can see how it will be very helpful. Although, when designing assets intended for game environments, I feel that I will end up recreating the geometry- I haven’t been able to get the shape I need and maintain a low enough polycount. Any suggestions for creating geometry through the shadow box which starts out at the lowest possible division for “acceptable” topology?

I can see this shape being comprised of around 30-40 polys for a game, but haven’t been able to get it that low through POLISH and RES while maintaining the topological requirements. Any thoughts?
