Shading Groups from other software into zBrush and back with Polygroups

Hi guys,

I have a question here.
For some reason I can’t get Maya shading groups back once I import my OBJ into zBrush.

So, here’s what I’m doing:

I OBJexport my mesh from Maya with predefined ShadingGroups - whichin zBrush get converted into PolyGroups.
Once in zBrush I reimport the object as Level 1 of my High Res mesh and my Polygroups work fine.
But when I try to export my High Res object back into Maya, my PolyGroups/Shading groups no longer get exported as material Groups.

Has anyone bumped into this issue?
I have to get my HighRes object together with it’s polygroups back into Maya.
