I have a new laptop for running ZBrush and would like to know if I can just download it to the new computer as is, or do I need to wipe the hard drive clean and then install the OS and go from there? It has Windows 7. What is recommended?

I’m not really understanding what you mean.
You just bought the laptop with the OS already installed, right? If so, then simply run the ZBrush installer to put ZBrush on the new computer? If not, then we need more information.
That is just what I needed actually, thank you. I had read in another thread where someone was saying they would wipe the hard drive with DBAN 3 times, etc, before installng ZBrush.

I think they were referring to the formatting of a new hard drive when building the hardware system from scratch. If you buy a new laptop it should be ready to go.
