Serious Noob Question, please respond..

Hello all, I’m fairly new to 3d modeling and to zbrush at that. I’m slowly figuring things out through tutorials and just play around with it…zbrush that is. Anywho, my problem is that i’m creating some files that will need to be as detailed as possible, but will need to be lowered in res for use in Pepakura, a papercraft rapid prototyping software. Somehow during the sculpting process, I’ve seem to have deleted the lower res divisions and am left with a high poly model. Is there anyway of getting the lower divisions back, or lowering it back to those resolutions?

tool>geometry>reconstruct subD’s…or lower subD levels…something like that.

And if you want to get that model as detailed as possible for the print…say your printer will handle 500k tris then you’ll want to use decimation master
zplugins>decimation master

and tell Zbrush to crush that model down to the 500k mark. It will create a mesh that is a total mess of tri’s everywhere but it will maintain the form as best as possible.
